Failsafe recipes for amateur cooks (April 2006)
Reviewer: E. MCGARRIGLE (Scotland)

Having cooked almost every recipe in Jamie's Dinners I can vouch for this book. The food is nutritious, tasty and simple to make with clear instructions. Inspired recipes which will appeal to everyone include seared tuna steaks with basil cream on tomato bruschetta to squash, coconut and lime soup. Perfect for those who want to learn to cook decent dinners!

Fantastic Recipes (March 2006)
Reviewer: A reader

The Cod in Beer Batter (page 21) went down a storm in our house. The Ginger Chicken with noodles (page 68) was fantastic. There are 320 plus pages with lots of colour photographs, write ups, features, doodles(?) and hints and tips the actual step by step recipies seem few but even so an inspiring book. Perhaps not for the beginner.

Your first Cooking book (March 2006)
Reviewer: Richard Stokes (Lichfield, UK)

Excellent First book! Takes you through some basic recipes, and then some more complex ones, with some interesting twists that give your meal a distinctive difference [For the Good!] Made even better by the Jamie Oliver "fool-proofness" factor. A highly reccommended read, the meals are also not the type that your kids would turn there noises up at! It steps you through kids favourites, how to make them with propper ingrediants, makes um taste good, and healthier too. [a win-win situation]. If [and you will] enjoy this, or simply are a more seasoned chef, then check out Jamie in Italy, fantastic recipes! To all you who are purchasing this book, I say, with experience, Bon-Apate!

Jamie's Dinners Hardback edition (January 2006)
Reviewer: "dan9109"

A very good book with a very nice selection of recipes, although from the style of jamie's cooking i did expect some less exotic meals, meaning that for half of the ingreidients necessary you'd never have in the cupboard. Otherwise a nicely written book and very well illistrated, providing some alternatives and variations on traditional meals. A definite reccommend.
