A
cheap reissue*
of a title originally published in 1990, which
examines the therapeutic value of everyday vegetables,
fruits, flowers and grains, and includes healing
recipes for common ailments. First published
by Chapmans in 1991.
*This
seems to me to be a strange way to describe
a book - it was Amazon UK's description - when
it was priced new at £16.99. It is no
longer available in hardback but this is how
they describe the paperback version:
An
inspirational self help manualof natural healing
Kitchen pharmacy describes individually the
therapeutic value of common vegetables, fruits,
flowers, spices and grains. It explains in simple
terms how ailments were traditionally classified
in order to prescribe the correct treatment.
A wide selection of recipes made from natural
resources is suggested to eat and enjoy, to
drink, to soothe in the bath, with massage,
to improve the hair and skin.
