Cooking in Tuscany with hands-on cooking classes and
culinary tours, wine tasting in renowned wineries and
wine appreciation classes taking in the food and wine
of the region as well as local events and fairs. In
addition customised itineraries can be designed.
The Aolmaia Tuscany Society organises great holidays
for overseas visitors - small select groups for cooking
classes, wine tours, gourmet tours or cultural tours
- the choice is yours.
The Society is made up of a small group of Italians
who live in the heart of Tuscany, near San Miniato which
is within easy reach of Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena,
San Gimignano and Volterra. They have designed their
tours and courses in such a way as to enable you to
experience the true Tuscany, to immerse yourself in
the enjoyment of its culture, traditions and way of
life.
They love their region and, as only people who live
there can, they know the real Tuscany. Sharing with
you their knowledge is something they are passionate
about, whilst at the same time ensuring you have the
most wonderful and unforgettable experiences during

COOKING
WEEKENDS IN TUSCANY |

A glimpse of the cuisine and the art of Tuscany, a
true experience within the the pleasure of good food
and the fascination of this historical land. The three
day program runs from Friday to Sunday.
- Friday:
Arrival in the evening. Free pick up between 5 and
6 pm at San Miniato railway station. Transfer to your
accommodation at Quattro Gigli Hotel. Renaissance
dinner at 8 pm.
- Saturday:
Morning cooking lesson by the Tuscan home-cook Manuela
at her farm-house, based on traditional Tuscan cuisine
and saffron specialties, followed by lunch. In the
afternoon, guided walk in San Gimignano, the famous
medieval “towers town”. Home made dinner at your
lodge.
- Sunday:
Morning cooking class by Loredana at her farm house,
based on hand made pasta, followed by lunch. Afternoon
visit of San Miniato then departures from San Miniato
r.r.station around 5 pm.

DAY COOKING TOURS IN TUSCANY |

Tuscany Wine Exploration
An unforgettable intensive program, visiting some of
the most famous wine areas of Tuscany, tasting more
than twenty excellent Tuscan wines, always guided by
a professional sommelier. Three night program, from
Wednesday to Saturday.
- Wednesday:
Arrivals in the evening. Free pick up at Florence
airport between 5 and 6 pm. Chech in. Welcome dinner
at renowned restaurant.
- Thursday:
Montalcino. Guided visit of two of the best wineries
producing Brunello wines, with wines sampling. Lunch
at the enoteca of the castle of Montalcino hamlet,
including wine sampling.
- Friday:
Chianti Classico. Ride through the beautiful hills
of Chianti Classico area, to visit 2 Chianti Classico
best wineries with ine sampling, plus lunch with selected
wine in renowned restaurant of the area.
- Saturday:
Vernaccia. Visit of San Gimignano medieval town. Wine
tasting of Vernaccia wines at the castle enoteca.
Home made lunch in a farm/winery including wines of
their production. Return to Florence around 4 pm for
departures.

Tuscany Cooking Break at San Gimignano
A few days giving you a great experience with the best
pleasures Tuscany has to offer . . . food, wine, olive
oil, art and nature. Four day program, from Thursday
to Sunday
- Thursday:
Arrivals from 5 pm onward. Free pick up at Castelfiorentino
r.r.station. Dinner at 8 pm.
- Friday:
In the morning, visit of Volterra with its two milleniums
art and architecture, lunch at renowned restaurant.
Afternoon visit of an excellent winery and guided
wine tasting of their best wines. Evening cooking
class by the chef Swan, based on historical and traditional
Tuscan cuisine, followed by dinner.
- Saturday:
In the morning, hands-on cooking class by home-cook
Emanuela, in her farm, based on traditional recipes
and saffron specialties, followed by lunch. In the
afternoon, guided walk in San Gimignano, the famous
medieval "towers town". Dinner at your hotel.
- Sunday:
Cooking class by Loredana for hand-made pasta and
mediterranean sauces, followed by lunch at her farm
house. Afternoon walk in San Miniato medieval town.
Departures from San Miniato r.r.station around 5 pm.
Tuscany Cooking Break Fiesole
Few intence days for a great experience with the best
of Tuscany pleasures: food, wine, olive oil, art, history
and nature. Four day program, from Thursday to Sunday.
- Thursday:
Arrivals in the mornig. Pick up at Florence airport
at 11 am. Check in at Hotel Villa Fiesole. Lunch in
Fiesole. Afternoon drive to Siena. Guided walk for
the afternoon combined with some free time for shopping.
Return to Fiesole for dinner at the hotel.
- Friday:
Drive through the hills and hamlets in the Chianti
Classico area. Guided visits of a winery and vineyard
with a professional sommelier. Enjoy typical lunch
at a renowned restaurant in typical Chianti town of
Castellina. Walk in town with some time for shopping.
Guided visit and wine tasting in a second winery in
Chianti town of Greve. Dinner at restaurant of your
hotel.
- Saturday:
In the morning, enjoy an excellent, hands-on cooking
class with a delightful woman, Emanuela at her ancient
but very nice, typical Tuscan home in San Gimignano,
with full menu lunch and Vernaccia wines of her production.
After lunch an escorted walk to visit the old town
with some time for shopping. Dinner at Hotel Villa
Fiesole restaurant.
- Sunday:
Guided morning tour of Firenze, lunch in Florence
at renowned trattoria, a little free time at San Lorenzo
outdoor market. Drive to Florence airport or railway
station at 4 pm for departures.

Cooking and Touring the coast - Lucca, Pisa,
Cinque Terre
The most elegant town of Tuscany, Lucca, the best coast
of Tuscany, Versilia, the leaning tower town Pisa, the
untouched jewel-villages in the Cinque Terre. A fabulous
short program, savouring Tuscan cuisine at its best,
cooking with top chefs, living an unforgettable experience,
in touch with art, tradition, history, nature. Three
night program, from Thursday to Sunday.
- Thursday:
Arrivals to Villa Chini in Versilia in the afternoon
around 4 pm. Between 4 and 5 pm. free pick up from
Pisa airport or Pisa railway station to your hotel.
Evening cooking class by Loretta Degli Innocenti,
chef of Villa Chini, specialising in Tuscan traditional
cuisine, followed by dinner.
- Friday:
Tour to Cinque Terre, one of the most spectacular
and fascinating areas of the Italian coastline. By
foot, car, train and boat, we will explore four of
the "five lands", the untouched fishing
villages standing like antique jewels on the steep
coast. Fish lunch at a typical "trattoria".
Return and dinner at your hotel.
- Saturday:
Morning hands-on cooking class about local cuisine
style by Stefania at her restaurant in Pisa, followed
by lunch. Escorted visit of Pisa main historical sites
including the leaning tower in Piazza dei Miracoli.
Return and dinner at your hotel.
- Sunday:
Tour to Lucca. Visit of a Renaissance Villa in the
Lucca countryside. Lunch at renowned restaurant. Guided
walk to the main art sites of the old inwall town.
Transfer to Pisa for deparures around 5 pm.

Cook and Tour, Florence
Especially dedicated to those who love Italian cuisine,
Tuscan wine and culture, this is a touring hands-on
cooking course by expert home-cooks and one chef, teaching
traditional Tuscan and Italian cuisine. Cooking classes
by different cooks, in different kitchens and locations,
so to give you a wide experience of cooking styles.
And every day you will visit an art town in a special
site of our region. Five-night cooking holiday, from
Sunday to Friday.
- Sunday:
Arrivals to Florence in the evening, check in at Albion
Hotel from 3pm onward. Welcome dinner at renowned
restaurant.
- Monday:
Guided visit of old Florence. Lunch at typical local
trattoria near San Lorenzo open market. Free afternoon
for museums visit or shopping. Dinner at hotel restaurant.
- Tuesday:
Loredana's cooking class at her farm, based on traditional
Italian hand made pasta. After lunch, walking visit
of San Miniato. Dinner at hotel.
- Wednesday:
Cooking class by chef Alberto Busetto at his restaurant
in the Chianti Rufina area, followed by lunch. Visit
of winery's cellars and wineyards, guided tasting
of their wines. Dinner at hotel.
- Thursday:
Cooking class by Emanuela on traditional Tuscan cuisine
and saffron specialties at her farm, lunch with wine
of her production. After lunch guided walk in San
Gimignano, the medieval "100 towers town".
Dinner at hotel.
- Friday:
Cooking class by Stefania at her restaurant Stazione
Leopolda in Pisa, about Tuscan cuisine. Guided visit
of the "leaning tower town". Drop off at
Pisa airport or station for departures.

- Friday:
Morning tour to Volterra, the fascinating town where
you'll discover the Etruscan, Roman and Medieval history
and art. Lunch at typical restaurant in town. Evening
cooking class by chef Bartolo based on historical
recipes of Italian Renaissance, followed by dinner
at his restaurant.
- Saturday:
Cooking class by Emanuela on traditional Tuscan cuisine
and saffron specialties at her farm, lunch with wine
of her production. After lunch tour of San Gimignano,
the medieval "towers town". Home made dinner
by your host Loredana.
- Sunday:
Loredana's cooking class in her kitchen, based on
traditional Italian hand made pasta, at her farm-house.

- By bike from Campiglia to Strove, via Monterotondo,
Montieri, Palazzetto, Sovicille, Marmoraia, Monteriggioni.
Visit of the ruins of San Galgano Abbey, visit of
Monteriggioni castle, dinner and night at hotel in

- Tuesday:
By bike from Strove to Siena and back. Guided visit
of Siena, lunch at Enoteca Italiana, free time for
shopping, dinner and night in Strove.
- Wednesday:
By bike from Strove to Bagni San Filippo, via Monteroni,
Buonconvento, Montalcino. Lunch at the enoteca of
Montalcino castle, thermal bath at hot spa, dinner
and night at Hotel Terme San Filippo.
- Thursday:
By bike from Bagni San Filippo to Sovana via Abbadia
San Salvatore (Monte Amiata), Sorano, Pitigliano.
Vist and lunch in Sovana, visit of Pitigliano, visit
of Sorano hamlet, dinner and night at Hotel Scilla.
- Friday:
By bike from Sovana to Alberese, via Manciano, Capalbio,
Chiarone Scalo, Monte Argentario (strada della costa
dell'Argentario), Santo Stefano. Lunch at porto Santo
Stefano, dinner and night at La Pulledraia in the

- Saturday:
