Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

Topping:
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Cake:
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Method
  • Combine topping ingredients, set aside.
  • For the cake, cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  • Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture; beat until combined.
  • Pour half of the batter into a greased 13 x 9 baking pan.
  • Sprinkle with half the topping.
  • Add remaining batter and topping.
  • Bake at 325º for 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
