says: "The secret to this cookie is the
freezing the chocolate chips and then turning
them to dust, because it gives the whole cookie
a nice even flavor".
cup (2 sticks) Butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (11.5 oz) package Chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
chocolate chips into a freezer until very firm.
Place frozen chocolate chips and chopped walnuts
into an electric blender or food processor and
chop very briefly.
butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla in a large
bowl with and electric mixer on medium speed
until light and fluffy. Mix in flour, baking
soda and salt. Stir in chip and nut mixture.
Drop by teaspoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased
cookie sheets. Bake in a preheated 375ºF
oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
