This particular recipe came from one of the Newsletters.

"I love this recipe because the two-ingredient topping is the frosting I almost always use for an everyday chocolate cake. It's a truly easy and wonderful frosting, and it doesn't dry out".

Ingredients

1 C. butter or margarine, melted
2 C. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/2 C. milk
3 tsp. vanilla extract, divided
1 C. all-purpose flour
2/3 C. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 C. nuts, chopped
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

Method
  • Mix together the melted butter or margarine and sugar.
  • Add eggs, milk, and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Add flour, cocoa, and baking powder; beat well.
  • Stir in nuts.
  • Spread batter into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish and bake at 350ºF for 40 minutes.
  • Just before the brownies are finished baking, melt the chocolate chips with the sweetened condensed milk and the remaining vanilla. Remove from heat.
  • Immediately spread the fudge mixture over the hot cooked brownies.
  • Chill completely. Cut into bars.
