head cabbage, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 stick butter (4 oz.)
6 slices bread soaked in milk
2 cups cream
8 - 10 oz. grated cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fine seasoned bread crumbs
chopped cabbage in salted water until just tender.
Drain and set aside.

until onions are translucent but not browned.

butter, moistened bread, cream, and cheese.
