cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3 tablespoons margarine, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups chopped pecans
oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Grease one
15 x 10 inch pan.
a large bowl combine the flour, 1/2 cup sugar,
1 cup butter and salt until mixture is coarsely
crumbled. Press into the prepared pan.
the filling in a large bowl by whisking together
the eggs, corn syrup, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 3 tablespoons
butter and vanilla. Stir in the chopped pecans.
the filling evenly over the hot crust. Bake
for 25 minutes or until set. Allow to cool on
wire rack before slicing.
