cup sifted White flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup Whole Wheat flour
1 cup corn meal
1/2 cup molasses
2 cups thick sour milk
and sift white flour, baking soda and salt.
whole wheat flour and corn meal.
molasses and milk and add to first mixture.
thoroughly, then turn into well greased moulds.
cover should be greased too and then tied on
wth a string, otherwise it may be forced off
by the rising bread.
mould should never be more than two-thirds full.
powder or cocoa tins make good moulds.
