It
is many years since Hub-UK was first launched. It has
been created from recipes contributed form all over
the world, from professionals and amateurs alike. A
great many of the recipes do not have any details as
to who sent them in or from where they came. It would
be a shame not to share them with you for this reason
alone.
This
is one such recipe. If you know where it originated,
or perhaps it is even yours, let me know and I will
add the necessary credits and acknowledgements.

Ingredients
3/4
cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 lb butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk
2 x eggs, separated
1 x 9" unbaked pastry case
Method
- Mix
sugars and cornstarch, add milk and cook a little.
- Add
butter and egg yolks and bring to a good boil.
- Remove
from heat and add beaten egg whites, vanilla and nutmeg.
- Pour
into unbaked pie case. Bake at 325°F until firm
and brown, about 30 - 35 minutes.
