Recipe for :

Baked Oysters
This is one of the recipes that has been provided by Shirley Cline from San Fransisco.


2 Tblsp. butter
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
2 tsp. minced shallots
1/4 tsp. cayenne
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. rosemary
2 dozen fresh oysters
2 Tblsp. butter cut into small pieces


Melt butter in frying pan, add bread crumbs, shallots and spices, stir over moderate heat for two minutes.

Spread 2/3 of crumbs in bottom of buttered pie tin or shallow baking dish and arrange oysters over crumbs in a single layer. Top with remaining crumbs and dot with butter.

Bake in a 450ºF oven for 15 minutes.
