Baked Halibut Oriental

"Another Alaskan recipe that is very popular on the M/V Explorer. This marinade / sauce also works well on Salmon".


2 - 3 lbs.Halibut Fillet, fresh
2 Tablespoons Fresh Ginger grated
4 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
3 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Grass, minced
2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
1/2 Cup Teriyaki Sauce
Fresh Ground Pepper to taste
1/2 Teaspoon Wasabi Paste or to taste

  • Rinse Halibut well under running water. Dry. Place Halibut on lightly oiled baking pan.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Spread marinade evenly over the Halibut and refrigerate for a least three hours before baking.
  • Bake at 350º for 25 - 30 minutes or till Halibut is firm to the touch.
  • Serve.
