Recipe for :

Green Beans with Browned Butter and Balsamic Vinegar

1 1/2 lbs. green beans, trimmed
3 Tblsp. butter
1 Tblsp. balsamic vinegar
Salt and freshly ground pepper

  • Blanch beans in a large pot of boiling water until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine butter, vinegar, salt and pepper in heavy medium skillet over medium heat. Cook until mixture begins to brown, stirring constantly, about 4 minutes. Set aside.
  • Drain beans well and transfer to serving dish.
  • Spoon browned butter mixture over beans and serve immediately.
