Recipe for :

Shrimp Butter

This is one of the recipes that has been provided by Shirley Cline from San Francisco in response to my quest for recipes using Balsamic Vinegar. (You can contact Shirley by emailing her - click here).


1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
1 stick butter
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 onion, minced or grated (I grate it)
2 cups shrimp, cut up (I use the small fresh salad shrimp)
4 Tblsp. mayonnaise

  • Mix cheese and butter (it must be real butter) together until smooth.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix until well blended.
  • Garnish with extra whole shrimp.
  • Serve with a bland cracker so you can get the full flavor.
