Ingredients

2 pc garlic clove
1 pc chilli (optional)
100 gm miso - red
4 tsp sesame oil
4 tsp vinegar – white
100 ml soy sauce – dark
2 tbs molasses

Method

  • Crush the garlic to a paste
  • Cut the chilli in half, remove the seeds and placenta (the white flesh that attaches the seeds to the chilli)
  • Finely chop
  • In a bowl place the miso (a red bean paste) and stir in the garlic and chilli
  • Slowly whisk in the sesame oil with a fork
  • Slowly whisk in the vinegar with a fork
  • Stir in the soy sauce
  • Warm the molasses in a microwave to make it liquid and stir into the above mixture
  • Taste and adjust to suit one's own taste : more molasses, soy sauce, miso etc may be needed to be added

Chef's Note:

Effort may be needed to fully combine the ingredients, as all the different
consistencies will not combine easily.

Enjoy and bon appetit . . . . .
