Clam Chowder

It is many years since Hub-UK was first launched. It has been created from recipes contributed form all over the world, from professionals and amateurs alike. A great many of the recipes do not have any details as to who sent them in or from where they came. It would be a shame not to share them with you for this reason alone.

1 qt steamed soft shell clams
1 x onion
3 x medium potatoes, diced
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1/4 lb butter
2 cup milk
1 x salt / pepper to taste


  • Melt butter, add onion and cook until tender but not brown.
  • Add potatoes and just enough water to cook potatoes.
  • When potatoes are tender add parsley, salt and pepper, and clams with their juice.
  • Just before serving add 2 cups milk and heat but do NOT boil.
