The Spanish tostada is probably one of Spain's most
famous mid morning snacks. This tostada uses thin slices
of Spanish serrano ham accompanied by king prawns, Basil
and Manchego cheese. Great at any time.
Ingredients
for Serrano Ham and King Prawn Tostadas
4 Slices of French stick.
8 King prawns (peeled and de-veined, tails left on)
1 Jar tomato salsa
Fresh basil
Grated Manchego
cheese
3 Slices serrano ham
How
to make Serrano Ham and King Prawn Tostadas
- Take
your bread slices and spread a generous amount of
salsa over each piece.
- Carve
two generous slices of serrano ham and cut into strips,
place these on top of the salsa.
- Place
two king prawns on top of the serrano ham.
- Grate
a little manchego cheese over the top then add the
basil (mixed herbs also work well)
- Grill
in the oven for 15 - 18 minutes.
