Colourful,
passionate chef and Ladette to Lady star Rosemary Shrager
hosts this knockout competition in which amateur cooks
can develop their culinary skills with advice and guidance
from Rosemary.
The
show takes place in Rosemary's renowned cookery school
in the stunning setting of Swinton Park in the Yorkshire
Dales. Each week a group of aspiring amateur cooks will
be coming to Rosemary's cookery school where they will
be given the chance to show off their culinary credentials,
tested against each other, taught new skills and put
under pressure to see if they've got what it takes to
make it in the demanding environment of a busy restaurant
kitchen.
All
the while they'll be closely watched and supervised
by Rosemary, with her infectious enthusiasm, passionate
know-how and demanding expectations.
Rosemary
said:
"It's
a wonderful thing to give people the opportunity to
learn the finer techniques and methods of cooking
so they can decide whether they'd like to pursue it
as a career.
I
hope that the programme will also inspire viewers
to develop their culinary skills and become as passionate
about cooking as I am.
It's
been a real rollercoaster ride but I've had an incredible
time and loved every minute of it!"
Ten
contestants will take part each week, and they will
be whittled down leaving one winner every week. These
finalists will return in the last week and will spend
three days in top Michelin starred restaurants where
they will have to impress the chefs if they want to
win a place in the final.
Rosemary
and the restaurant chefs will then decide which three
cooks deserve a place in the final.
The winner will be given the opportunity to work in
one of Britain's top restaurants as a trainee chef.
