Thank you for looking us up and welcome to Nutmeg Bears and our online catalogue of bears. The idea behind the website is to be able to keep everyone informed about new bears and to enable those who do not have access to them to order online.

As the title of this page suggests it is to tell you a little bit about Nutmeg Bears. I have been asked by the web designer to write a few words but it is difficult to know what to put and it is never easy to write about oneself.

Who am I and why Nutmeg Bears? Well, my name is Ali and I live in Cheltenham (UK) where I was born and grew up. I have always loved Teddy Bears, since I was a little girl, and now as a Mother I think I cherish them more than ever - that perfect cuddle without the runny nose or sticky face!

I only recently started making my own bears - I suppose it had never occurred to me before to even try, it is always something other people do and you never stop to think where they come from. Now I know and what is more I have found I can make bears which not only give me great pleasure but also give pleasure to others.
